“In Christianity there is always a starting point
but there is no end to our spiritual growth because the Lord is infinite in all
things”. Just as PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE usually says 'God is my creator, my helper,
my everything, my provider, the one that make me feel as if I have the whole
world, my everything, my heart, the one that has always been with me, for me
and will never leave me, my comforter even when everything is bad He comforts
me and gives me hope that all is well, HE IS MY FIRST, the only one that can
say YES to my life when others are saying NO and nobody to object Him, the
POWERFUL GOD, HE IS THE KNOWN GOD THAT KNOWS THE UNKNOWN, He is wiser than our
wisest imagination, He is the one who was not created by anybody but He created
everything, He is the God that is very hard to understand or imagine and that’s
why the Bible often need to draw God in human colours in order for us to try
and understand His nature'.
Moreover, our encounter with God or how far we go
with Him reveals the knowledge you have about God and who He is to you. The
very good example is that of Moses, who God told a name Hw could not
understand. the name ' AM THAT I AM'. Moses only believe this in the first
place, when the assignment was giving to him, but as soon as he continually
having constant fellowship and relationship with God, he could decipher the magnificent
of God that make him composed a lot of songs to appreciate God for His wondrous
work (Exodus 15:1-13).
The reason why some Christians are always behaving
the way they like, don’t value or respect God is because THEY ARE YET TO KNOW
WHO GOD IS? Sincerely if we all get to know who He is, we won’t be taking Him
as those who call themselves youths do as of nowadays. You see many of our so
called Pastors, they sit down continually while WORSHIP SESSION is going on
“EXCUSE ME SIR ARE YOU GREATER THAN GOD?”. Many of our elders read newspaper in
His presence, WHAT AN INSULT!!! Many youths even gist and chat while service is
going. It’s just that you are yet to know Him.
NOW LETS LOOK AT WHO GOD IS UNDER THE FOLLOWING
CONCEPTS:

HE IS
THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH (Gen 1:1)
Oh the book of Gen 1 vs 1 is a very great verse in
the scripture, Every man that want to create a thing will need much planning
examine the cost and amount raw materials needed for that project. For example:
before a cupboard can be made, the carpenter need to plan, strategize on the
amount of the raw materials to be used which will determine the cost. But one
great thing about my God is that He needed not to seek any man all He need is
TO SPEAK he called Light as if it was stored somewhere before (Rom 4:17b) He
created the Heaven and the Earth without
pillars (AMAZING!!!), at His word alone Earth started bringing forth every kind
of animal (Gen 1:24) without any sort of mating occurring. He formed man out of
dust and the scientists search to know how He brought about some of these
things but all they came back with is that THERE IS NO SEARCHING OF HIS
UNDERSTANDING. “HE IS THE CREATOR THAT CREATED THE CREATURES” and 'can clay say
unto the potter that why madest me these?' (Jer. 18: ) NEVER!!! If God had made you a tree or
stone there is no court you can take Him to.
ALL NATIONS BEFORE HIM ARE AS NOTHING (Isaiah
40:15)
The day I encountered this verse in the Bible
“Behold, the NATIONS are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the SMALL
DUST of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a VERY LITTLE THING
(Isaiah 40:15)”. The meaning Holy Spirit gave to me in this verse is that
everything we Human beings run after even at the expense of our life and
destiny is nothing before God, if you will notice the scripture didn’t say
“NATION” it said “NATIONS” and in a Nation alone we may have more than 1
billion people living in it, if Nations are now to be like just a DROP and not
even A FULL BUCKET then why do we inhabitants of his world think less of God?
If all Nations are now to be a drop then what will the earthly things be? GOD
IS MIGHTIER AND GREATER THAN WHAT ANY MAN CAN THINK OF, no wonder Matt
6:33a says “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” FOR IT
IS BETTER TO HAVE HE THAT SITTETH ON THE CIRCLES OF EARTH AND COUNT ALL NATIONS
AS A DROP WITH US THAN TO BE RUNNING AFTER THE THINGS IN THE WORLD.
NOTHING IS HIDDEN BEFORE HIM (Heb 4:12-13)
One other characteristics about God that makes man
so low to Him is that it is possible for your pastor not to know what you are
doing in your closet but I want to shock you by saying that GOD does. He is the
Omnipresent God, no matter how you close the door, close the window and draw
the curtain, even in thick darkness he sees you. “all things are naked and
opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do (Heb 4:13)”. Note this
verse very well “ALL THINGS” i.e. nothing, I mean nothing is hidden unto
Him, everything goes plain and naked before Him, no wonder “HE NEVER SLEEPS NOR
SLUMBER”. Looking through the scripture, Cain thought taking Abel to the field
will make his action secret, no wonder he was shocked when God asked Him, he
thought no man saw him but God did (Gen 4:8-10). God is not ignorant of your
situation, he knows about it, all he just want from you is to ask and it shall
be given.
HE IS A JUDGE AND A CONSUMING FIRE (Heb 12:29)
Many Christians talk about the fact that God is a
loving father, they preach so much about this that they forgot he is a JUDGE
AND A CONSUMING FIRE. I am not saying God is not a loving and caring father,
yes He is but am just here to tell you HE IS ALSO A CONSUMING FIRE. “THOUGH
HE LOVES SINNERS BUT HE HATE SIN”, He is the incorruptible judge whatsoever
you are doing now continue with it, a day is coming that the Ancient of days
will come as a judge and reward us all (Rev 22:11-12). He appeared to the
Israelites as a loving father when He brought them out of Egypt (Exodus
14:12-20) but when they committed sin and went astray He showed up like a Judge
and Consuming Fire (Rev 9:14), and it is really “whom the father loveth that he
chastiseth (Heb 12:6)”. THOUGH HE IS LOVING AND FULL OF MERCY BUT DON’T
FRUSTRATE HIS GRACE LIKE ANANIAS AND
SAPHIRA DID (ACTS 5:1-11), AND IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO CONTINUE IN SIN AND
EXPECT THE GRACE (HIS LOVE, CARE AND MERCY) TO ABOUND (ROM 6:1). THE GRACE OF
GOD IS NOT A SIN MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME BUT FOR SIN ERADICATION PROGRAMME.
A song according to (Exodus 15:11) says: WHO IS
LIKE UNTO THEE? OH LORD, AMONG THE GOD’S, WHO NIS

are greatest, you are Holy one,
Walked upon the sea, raised the
dead,
Reign in majesty, mighty God,
Everything written about you is GREAT.

No
one can describe who you are,
You are great glorious and mighty,
You are great glorious divine,
No one can describe who you are.
He is the all in all, the Jehovah over do, the
Rose of Sharon, the Jehovah who He is, was and His to come. Oh He is the I AM
(according to research “I AM” is the shortest complete sentence), He looked at
it that what could I tell Moses to tell this people about me. I am too big to
described but well just tell them “I AN SENT YOU (Exodus 3:14)”. Let your
orientation change henceforth about who God is and be orderly in His presence,
Job 38 talks much about the hidden secret about WHO OUR GOD IS. He is so big
that the Heaven and Heaven of Heavens can’t contain Him (1king 8:27).
NOTE: THE 24 ELDERS IN HEAVEN ARE NOT ROBOTS THAT
HAD BEING PROGRAMMED TO ALWAYS BOW AND WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY, THE TRUTH IS JUST
THAT WHEN THEY BOW DOWN THEIR HEAD TO WORSHIP HIM, RAISING UP THEIR HEADS AND
LOOKING ON THE THRONE THEY SEE SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND MAGNIFICIENT ABOUT GOD,
SO AMAZING THAT THEY NEED TO BOW AGAIN. HAVE A CHANGE OF ORIENTATION OF HOW YOU
WORSHIP GOD AND SEE THE GREAT GOD, HE IS INDESCRIBABLE.
