POWER OF SALVATION

The Bible says “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple” (Psalm 119: 130). If the Word of God is likened to be our LIGHT then it’s only through studying it that we can be kept from darkness and falling in this world. I pray that as you continue to read on the Light of God (i.e. Word of God) will over shadow your life in Jesus Name (AMEN).

God created Heaven and Earth, He looked at it and said everything is good “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold It was very good” (Genesis 1:30). He began to relate with man, every evening He will come into the garden to talk with Adam, they both deliberate on issues but the day. Adam disobeyed God by eaten the fruit God instructed him not to eat. God punished him and sent Adam and his wife out of the garden of Eden, God now used Cherubim and a Flaming sword to keep man from eating out of the tree of life “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life” (Genesis 3:24).

This action brought about separation between God and mankind, it got to a point during the time of Noah that God repented that He created man due to their way of life and high rate of sin in the land “And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart” (Genesis 6:6). Yet the love God had for man did not reduce neither did it decline, when the Israelites were in trouble and they called unto Him (God). He sent Moses unto them as their savior as a means to bringing man back unto Him (God) but man rebelled the more. I thought of it one day that, God might have sat the Heavens down and thought that what then can be the solution to mankind. He sent Prophets, he spoke through them to the people may be at least they will believe somebody that was given birth like theirs (human) and lives among them. From Genesis to Malachi God tried to bring restoration but it all proved abortive, prophecies were given by the prophets sent by God but everyman was making mockery of it.

What a pain in God’s Heart!!! This brought a silence in Heaven, between Malachi and Matthew was the space of 50 years of silence and the question that brought the silence was “Who will go for us? Who is worthy to open the book?” Revelation 5:3 says “And no man in Heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon”. Right there all hope was lost and Apostle John who saw and wrote the book REVELATION was already crying, but there arose the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, He came and took the book out of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne. (Revelation 5: 5-7). He volunteered to come to this world, to make God (His Father) happy with mankind, He left all His glory and was ready to suffer due to the Love He had for the Father.

Salvation is being saved from bondage of sin. Biblically Salvation is the way by which man is being reconciled back to God; Salvation is when one is taking out of darkness into His marvelous light. Jesus Christ came for the Ministry of Reconciliation, He came to be the channel that brings man back to God, the work that prophets could not do He came to do it, He came to restore back the communication that Adam broke through his sin, Jesus Christ also came to give us the hope of Eternal rest and Everlasting life, He came to give us life in abundance (Romans 5: 6-16). There is this popular verse we all know but it’s a pity not many people in this generation had taken the step to fulfill it “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Because of the love God had for man and sinners He sent forth His only begotten son, He that knew no sin neither was iniquity found in Him died for we (I and You) typical sinners “But God commndeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)”, He became the merciful and faithful High Priest “Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be the merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people” (Hebrew 2:17). He also came as the propitiation of your sins “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1John 2:2). He came to abolish the killing of rams or bulls as a means of begging for mercy through now we have an access unto the throne of Grace. BUT ARE YOU STILL NOT CHASING THE SAVIOUR OF YOPUR SOUL AWAY?

Until you are saved you are not safe, you are not safe from the devil, wicked ones, witches and wizards, enemies of your soul, mischief, stagnation, disappointments and Eternal damnation {HELL}. Many in this generation allow the devil to blindfold their eyes unable to see the reality; being a Christian does not put you into bondage like they tell you (i.e. Christianity life is hard, you won’t be free any more). NO!!!! That’s a bloody lie from the pit of Hell, Christianity gives unto you liberty “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2Corinthians 3:17). You are still battling with that problem because Jesus is yet to enter into your life. Being a Christian takes away condemnation and gives an opportunity for new beginning “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit” (Romans 8:1). The blood of Jesus speaketh better things than the blood of Abel or bulls or goats used in the olden days to plead for forgiveness, “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrew 10: 10; 12; 18-19).

One thing I want you to know is that the fact that you are given birth to in a mission house does not mean you are saved, that your parents are Pastors or Evangelists does not mean you are SAVED. SALVATION IS A PERSONAL THING, the fact that Eli knew God does not automatically mean his sons also does. Know this that “Salvation is the ticket in becoming a CHRISTIAN, being a Christian goes beyond religion it is a way of life which SALVATION gives you the access. The name Christian came because of the way some brethren lived “And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch (Acts 11:26b)”, Christian mean “Christ-like”. Ask yourself this, Am I behaving like Christ? Am I a Christian or a church goer?

You can’t assume that you are saved, it is a product of an experience or encounter you had with God, and do you have a day which you can point as the day you made up your mind genuinely to serve and follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior? There are many that have turn Altar calls to attendance sheet my brethren this can’t pay you, there are many who bear Christian names but they have no root in Heaven. If rapture sounds now where will you meet yourself, won’t it meet you in Adultery, Fornication, gambling, yahoo, masturbation, uncleanness, envy, murders, witchcraft, idolatry, anger, hatred, disobedience to parents, alcohol or drunkenness, my brother and my sister these are works of the flesh which brings ETERNAL DAMNATION (HELL). Like it had been afore said you can’t assume you are saved you need to have faith in Christ, confess your sins unto God and accept Jesus into your life, truly we have all sinned and cut short God’s glory but we can’t stay there, you need to accept Jesus Christ to be free from that condemnation and sin no more, SIN MAY BE SWEET NOW BUT IT IS DEADLY, IT STEALS A LOT FROM YOU, IT WILL KILL YOU AND DESTROY YOUR SOUL. JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me (John 14:6)”.

You may be rich now but do you have peace, where will you end your soul. The rich man (Lazarus’s boss) was rich yet had not Christ he died and went to Hell, hell is not a god and pleasant place, turn from your sinful ways today only then can you be saved. “If ye say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 

(1John 1:8-9). If only you can turn and be ready to leave those sins his hands are widely open to receive you “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2Peter 3:9). It’s because of you He is delaying His coming, He does not want you to perish and He is saying to you today “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20)”, will you because of this earthly things miss the glorious home?

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26). Even if it is possible for you to gain the “whole world” is that an enough excuse for you to loose your soul, you are chasing the world which is vanity upon vanity, what will come to an end one day. Are you there may be you gave your life to Christ in time past but you have gone into your old way of life, stop patching it up go back to the cross and redicate your life once again, don’t because of who you have become or what people will say loose your soul, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Romans 6:1-2).

Don’t allow what you hear move you, they won’t be with you on the judgment day, a day which no man knows “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night” (2Peter 3:10), therefore examine yourselves; check your stand in God is it still strong or not? “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves” (2Corinthians 13:5). “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give everyman according as his work shall be (Revelation 22:11-12)”. IF YOU MISS HEAVEN YOU CAN NOT MISS HELL.
