GO YE INTO THE WORLD

Any Church activities without Evangelism is nothing but LEAVES, this is because the Church is made up of people. The goal of evangelism is tailored to what Apostle Paul writes "How them shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Rom. 10:14).  Your life is attached to several souls and several destinies are hanged you. Your existence is not just by accident, the pains you are going through is not just for fun there is a reason behind it. Have you sat down to know that purpose? Have you sat down to decode that general calling given to all mankind?

It is called the EVANGELISTIC CALLING. The great commission is “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). This is the general calling Christ gave unto all mankind to do, but the fact that he gave it out does not mean there is no code of entry. If you read the Vs 14 “Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat" (Mark 16:14) he was giving the order in Vs 15 to those he appeared to in Vs 14. Professor Durojaiye Adegboye said “A sinning Christian cannot save a sinning sinner” meaning that a person that will genuinely do this work must first have the experience of what he want to talk about or else its just a fallacy.

WHO THEN ARE THOSE THAT MUST DO THE WORK AND WHEN?

·        Those that have seen Him: “But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the Apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly as Damascus in the name of Jesus" (Acts 9:27). First thing that must happen to a man that will do the work of an Evangelists is to SEE THE LORD, meaning such person must have an encounter with whom he wants to do His work. “There is no man greatly used that missed or didn’t have an encounter with Him”, it is when you have an encounter with Christ that GENUINE REPENTANCE takes place, its an encounter that shows your worth plainly, if you doubt me ask Brother Isaiah he will tell you in (Isaiah 6:1-5). SEEING HIM ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH  THERE OUGHT TO BE SOMETHING MORE FOR SOMEONE WHO WANT TO GO OUT.

·        Those that had been with Him: The next thing which is very important unto everyone willing to go out and preach is to be with Christ, “BEFORE EVERY MANIFESTATION THERE MUST HAVE BEING A PREPARATION”. Truly you have seen him but there is something much more needed which is to be with Him “And he ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that he might send them forth to preach" (Mark 3:14). If you look at when he was calling the twelve Apostles unto Himself the promise he gave unto them was that they will go and preach the gospel, he will make them fishers of Men but that didn’t come to pass until Acts 2. Why? His primary purpose or programme is not to send them out unprepared, he ordained them “that they should be with Him” that is another essential needed of a man who will later fulfill the conjunction “and”. For 3 ½ years they were with Christ learning and watching his steps, you cant go out and just preach what you don’t know like Saul did THERE IS A NEED TO BE WITH HIM, Apostles were with Him learning they learned about Him that John said “That which was from the beginning which we have heard, which we have seen, with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hand have handled, of the Word of Life" (1 John 1:1). Paul himself was with God learning for good 13years before commissioned into service, Moses own was 40years learning how to lead human beings (Israelites) by learning sheep at Jethro's house Professor Durojaye Adegboye said "I was with Christ learning about Him and being with Him for 25years". IT IS COMPULSORY YOU GO INTO THE WORLD AND PREACH BECAUSE THATS' HIS COMMAND BUT IT IS NEEDED OF YOU TO FIRST SEE HIM (Be genuinely Born Again) and Also be With Him (learn of Him and be like Him in all ways both in Holiness and ways).

Knowing fully well now who can go out and preach, when; and what way has He given you to do the work? Professor Durojaiye Adegboye said and I quote "EVERY CHRISTIAN IS CALLED TO A LIFE OF SERVICE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST THROUGH SPIRITUAL AND PRACTICAL GIFTS OR TALENTS". Peter when he was called, he was trained and made a "FISHERS OF MEN", Matthew was a tax collector he got converted and became an Evangelist, Paul was a persecutor and a lawyer but when he got converted he became AN APOSTLE. It is known that you don't need a pulpit before you can preach the gospel; many of the Apostles, Jesus and his disciples never had a pulpit before they started doing the will of the Father. Don't  be stopped or discouraged by the fact that you don't own a Church or you are not given a chance in Church, NO!!! Good News Proclaimers (EVANGELISTS) don't stay mute at a place, they are not convenient or at peace until they go out and win a soul. You don't need the Title Evangelists before you know you are one "Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every living creature" (Mark 16:15). As long as you are a Christian you are called.

WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN PREACH THE GOSPEL

Your way of life can preach the gospel, your way of dressing can preach the gospel, (the Apostles didn't preach at Antioch before they were being called Christians, they "saw" them and called them (Acts 11:26). The social media platform can be used to preach the gospel, its an Altar on its won which very much congregation eager to be blessed, in your class you can preach the gospel, in the bus or car evangelism can be done, Prison-evangelism, Morning-cry and lot more to mention. BUT HOW FAITHFUL ARE YOU TO THIS? HAVE YOU USED ANY OF THIS PLATFORMS OR ALL YOU DO IS STILL COMPLAIN OR CALL IT SOME PEOPLES WORK? IF THE PERSON THAT GOT YOU SAVED WAS SHY AND DIDN'T TAKE UP TO HIS CALLING, THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU WILL BE BY NOW, WORSE THAN THAT ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE TIED TO YOUR CALLING ARE PRESENTLY AND WILL BE IF YOU FAIL TO RISE.

Never allow situation to determine your service in the body of Christ. There was a man then in Epworth in the land of Lincolnshire who never allow situation to determine his service his name is  JOHN WESLEY. On a Sunday Morning June 6th 1742 he went to a Church to assist the pastor and also to preach the gospel but he was looked down upon and chased out of the Church. Like many of us have but do you know he didn't give up to depression like you are doing rather he went to his father's grave (who was a Pastor before he died), stood upon it and began to preach the gospel. Thousands came to him on his father's grave where he preached and souls were won, he preached with this verse "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom 14:17) and every evening for a whole week they kept coming. The burden in his heart was so much burning that he saw his father's grave as a pulpit, just like John the Baptist preached in the wilderness and people came from the city to hear a man who preached without a mega phone.

                       

                                    WHAT DO YOU  NEED FOR THIS CALLING?

1.         BURDEN: There must be a deep burden in your heart for lost souls, Watchman Nee said "Burden is the secret of prayer". Jesus has so great a burden that he drove out those buying and selling in the temple; John Wesley had the passion for lost souls that his father's grave was the next option; Kathrym Kuhlman had so great passion and burden for lost souls that she would be crying even on a stage; Jeremiah also had great burden that it was a fire burning in his bones. Burden was so great upon Apostle Paul that he said "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel" (1Cor 9:16). When you see people going astray how do you feel? Do you have burden so much that you cry on your knees praying for them and going to preach to them? Or you just overlook and say, "at least am saved it doesn't matter about others, or am shy?". Think about this!

2.         WORD OF GOD: For an effective soul winning; programme the Word of God is very much important, the people you are going to are already loaded with one information, a belief or the other, then if you really want to get their heart you must be well prepared and loaded with the Word of God, not just John 3:16 alone even an unbeliever knows that, IT IS EXPECTED OF YOU TO BRING REVELATIONS OUT OF THE LETTER WHICH THEY DON'T KNOW, THE WORD OF GOD IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU IF YOU MUST PREACH THE GOSPEL.

3.         POWER: Apostle Johnson Suleman said "When evidence is on ground Evangelism is minimal" You that want to go out and preach must have being fully soaked with power and presence of the Almighty. The place or heart you are approaching is not empty, there was something ruling before. So, for you to set the prey free you must bind the strong man and to bind the strong man you NEED A HIGHER POWER. And that was why until Power fell, Apostles couldn't start any rugged evangelism because they know this of a truth "Then said Jesus unto him, except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe" (John 4:48). Apostle Johnson Suleman said "POWER IS THE SECRET FOR RUGGED EVANGELISM", for good evangelism work you need power because you will surely be challenged. DON'T CRY FOR POWER BECAUSE YOU WANT TO SHOW YOURSELF OR COMPETE BUT RATHER TO EXPAND THE KINGDOM POWER AND GIFTS ARE TO BE USED FOR THE PERFECTION OF THE SAINTS "for the perfection of the saints, for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ" (Eph 4:12).

4.         LIVE A CHRIST LIKE LIFE THAT WILL BRING THE LOST SOULS TO      THE LORD: Another thing you need, is to be careful of NOT TO USE HUMAN MEASUREMENT IN EVANGELISM, Oh anybody I preach to must instantly get saved, everybody must be healed, whenever I pray people must fall, Professor Durojaiye Adegboye said "A man that uses human measurement in evangelism will soon be chased out by frustration". God does not work in our ways, yours is to "GO" leave the rest for Him to do. In vs 14 he told them to GO but in vs 20 "And they went forth, and preached everywhere the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following" (Mark 16:20). Yours is to go and preach, make sure you live holy and filled with His presence, God is to give increases. This was exactly what Apostle writes about "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase" (1 Corin. 3:6)  (BEING SENSITIVE & YIELDING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ESSENTIAL HERE), they (APOSTLES) went and preached, He followed and Confirmed. Bob Scorge said "I realize I can't tell God what to speak, or when to speak it, but I can position myself in the secret place so that when He chooses speak, I am found listening".

           

WHY MUST YOU PREACH?

·        Because it makes Heaven rejoice "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance" (Luke 15:7).

·        There is a reward "for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Heb 6:10; John 5:20).

·        It is our duty and command by the Father "but watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an Evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2Tim 4:5; Matt 28:19).

·        Souls are dieing and going to Hell "Therefore hell hath enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it" (Isaiah 5:14; Rom 1:16; Rev 20:15).

·        It helps wearied in the Spirit Christian.

UNLESS WE GO AND TELL OTHERS WE OURSELVES WILL GROW COLD AND INDIFFERENT, YE THAT HAD BEING SAVED RISE TO THE SALVATION OF OTHERS, SOULS ARE CRYING, HEAVEN IS ANTICIPATING FOR WHO SHALL GO FOR US AND TURN THEIR FACE TO GOD, WILL YOU BE THE ISAIAH OF THIS GENERATION AND SAY HERE I AM USE ME. Its in your hands!!!
