WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE

This is a question Heaven is asking this generation, Jesus looks down from Heaven and see sin reigning, with deep anger and groaning He asks “Who is still on my side?”. Is there still anyone who will not give up on me? Is there still that person who will stand and hold up my banner? We are going to study a generation together and use it to check our Faith and stands in Christ. Moses the servant of God whom God was using during his time as a channel and source of solution to the people of Israelites, a time came when God wanted to speak with His servant and He called unto him “And the Lord said unto Moses, come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them" (Exodus 24:12) and without hesitation Moses went up to the Mount and waited for the Almighty God. The very first 6 days it was just a cloud Moses was into, he is yet to enter the very PRESENCE, to my own little understanding I believe for that 6 days the Great God was transforming him (Moses) from the flesh (Natural) to the Spirit (Spiritual) so that he can be able to enter into His Presence and remain alive, also that the illumination of God’s presence might give unto Moses Strength as long as the conversation will last.

After the preparation was over, on the seventh day “which means PERFECTION”, he was called out “…And the glory of the Lord abode upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud" (Exodus 24:16). Brother Moses kept talking and dinning with Jehovah for complete 40 days and 40 days nights “And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights" (Exodus 24:18). But here was Brother Aaron who may be his salvation wasn’t genuine before or he never knew God personally because to me if he had knew God the disturbance of the Israelites wouldn’t have moved him or he would have taught them and reminded them the way of the Lord (BUT WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE YOU CAN’T GIVE). Stiff-necked and perverse generation of the Israelites then went to Brother Aaron and said “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for  this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him (Exodus 32:1).
If you look painstakingly at that verse very well, two things were noted and important (1.) Aaron was idle and resting (2) Israelites never knew God they only knew Moses. Aaron gave them what they wanted and a god was made, OH!!! What a great noise and shout, the atmosphere was full of tambourines and Joshua who was far-away from the could notice the happiness “And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being  overcome, but the noise of them that sing do I hear (Exodus 32: 17-18)”. Having the tables which the finger of God wrote in his hand “two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the Finger of God" (Exodus 31:18), with anger against what was happening amidst the people he broke the tables (not even minding the effort of 40 days spent). He turned to the leader whom he kept them under but disappointingly Aaron was just giving unacceptable excuses, Just like you also.  When the master comes back and ask about the sheep he kept in your vine, what will you say? Have you led them in the way of the Lord like (Moses and Joshua) or you led them back to their Egypt like (Aaron)? Think upon this pastors, Church Leaders, Fellowship presidents, Coordinators and Executives, YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT!!!
Moses couldn’t defile himself by entering the camp, for the camp had been defiled and made unholy, therefore he stood at the gate of the camp and gave a loud cry “Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him" (Exodus 32:26). Apostle Johnson Suleman say and I quote “Aaron’s only escape root was that he came out with the levites, if not he would have also being destroyed with others”. It was a cry Moses made and out of perverse and defiled generation of the then Israelites, the levites came out unto God  (i.e. In every bad generation there will always be a faithful and good tribe). Just like Moses cried at the gate camp, likewise, his servant is crying now that “WHO IS ON THE LORD’s SIDE?” It’s a question that Heaven is craving for an answer, that in this perverse generation; can there still be any Levites? In this crooked and sinful land is there still any Noah? In this corrupt world Heaven is asking is there still any Lot? Have a deep breath and answer the question.
If you have said yes, think deeply again are you truly on the Lord’s side? one of my brother in the Lord use to say something “99.9% Holiness and Obedience can’t guarantee you Heaven it has to be 100%”. Do you know what it takes or means to “COME OUT”? It means to totally forget, to be dead to the former life and be ready for the present, scripture says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2Corinthians 5:17). If you want to be on the Lord’s side then old things must pass away (i.e. die), there must not be cravings for it again, Apostle Joshua Selman says and I quote “You are only free from that weight or sin when you no more have any cravings or desire for it”. Apostle Paul painted it clearly “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily (1Corin. 15:31), “For he that is dead is freed from Sin" (Rom. 6:7). Despite the abundance of Sin in this present world are you still ready to stand out like Joseph “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God" (Genesis 39:9), are you ready to come out of that pit of Sin you are into, that corrupt and ungodly relationship, and determine that no matter what I AM ON THE LORD’s SIDE, not by tongue alone but in deed and in truth “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth" (1John 3:18) for blessed is he that when Jesus comes back he meets watching “Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching: Verily I unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them" (Luke 12:37). Like he cried in the days of Noah and in the days of Lot, so also he is crying that WHO IS ON MY SIDE?
“So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? Vs 8 I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when He returns (Luke 18:7-8 MSG).  When Jesus comes back where will you be? On His side like the Levites or be outside his boundary. In the land of Haran Abraham was on the Lord’s side, In the Land of Sodom and Gomorrah Lot was on His side, In the land of Egypt Joseph was on His side, In the land of Babylon Daniel (belteshazzar), Hananiah (shadrach), Mishael (Meshach), Azariah (Abednego) were on the Lord’s side, In the Whole world then Apostles were on the Lord’s side, IF THE LORD LOOK DOWN UPON YOUR COUNTRY, YOUR STATE, YOUR REGION, WILL HE FIND YOU ON HIS SIDE? “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of the devils" (1Corin. 10:23). “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:16) SITTING ON THE FENCE IS NOT AN OPTION NO EXCUSE WILL BE ACCEPTED, MAKE A DECISION TODAY AND STAND BY IT!!! (1Co 16:13)  Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you've got, be resolute, (1Corinthians 16:13).
If you are reading this article and you are yet to give your life Christ but right now you are ready to give your life to Christ, say this after me with a determined heart
“Lord Jesus here I am, I am a sinner and I have cut short your glory, Lord am sorry for my sins and I will never return back to them, I accept you today into my life as my Lord and Saviour, use your blood to wash away my sins and write my name in the book of life”.
I welcome you into the Kingdom, just make sure you join a believing Church where the Word of God is being taught and make your Bible your friend not forgetting to be having your quiet time every morning.
