TAKE AWAY THE DROSS

What maybe flowing through your mind is what does DROSS mean and how does it relate with Christianity? Why must it be taken away? In this book the Holy Spirit will be revealing the deep answers to these questions unto us. Let relax and read through as the Holy Spirit teaches us. As regard to Oxford Dictionary, DROSS refers to ‘waste or impure matter’, impurities in metal’. Bro Gbile in one of His teachings said “Dross means what reduces the Shining capacity of a Silver”. Coming to the Spiritual realm DROSS are ‘weights and impurities that keep us from attaining the level at which god wants us to manifest in him’, which was much emphasized in (Heb. 12:1) “…let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”. Meaning if we fail or reluctant to laying aside these DROSSES (Weights and Sins that easily beset us) running the race will be a very hard thing.

However, this disorder weights down the pace of man, ‘There is always a material in a man which the Lord desires to use but at first the Dross must be plucked and melted out’. There are some dross which can be easily noticed and there are some that are very hard to notice, we do count them as little thing but it’s really destroying our life, they are called the little foxes. According to what the scripture says “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: have tender grapes” (Song of Solomon 2:15). And this is why as followers of Christ this Dross must be taken out of our life if we really and must fulfill purpose, “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer” (Prov. 25:4). Though the material is good but until when the Dross is taken away it is useless and just like a leaking vessel, Brethren check yourself what are the Dross in your life?

Looking through the Scripture we shall be using the life of a great man to expatiate on what Dross mean and how deadly it is. The great man of God is Prophet Isaiah, OH! What a Great Prophet of God indeed, he prophesized so much that the whole Isreal fear Him but he failed in taking away the dross of His life. Although, he was sound and his ministry was a blessing to other, but his life is not reckon to before God. In Isaiah 6:1-8, the Lord opened the eyes of Prophet Isaiah to see the dross in His life in vs 5 “then said I, woe is me! for I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the king, the lord of hosts”, the encounter that day made the light ray of God to show him the dross of His life and until a removal and purging was made in vs 6 “And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, lo, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquity is taken away, and sin purged” there was never a release from Heaven.  One thing that gets me scared is why must Heaven say “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? (Isa. 6:8), does that mean all from Chapter 1-5 he was not reckoned to by Heaven? Oh yes, though to man he is Spirit-filled and a prophet but before Heaven he is nowhere to be found all because of the dross in His life. Though it look small “Having unclean lips” and “standing in the midst of people of unclean lips” but Heaven is emphasizing that Son nothing is too small to make one loose Heaven and Intimacy with God. It’s not by the matter of how small or great SIN IS SIN. “And no unclean thing (either small or great) shall see the lord” (Psa. 15:1-5)”.

Check your life what are the little sin, little foxes, dross that spoils and destroys the vine, I will like you right now to forget about the fact that you preach. Isaiah was a prophet, he do not only preach, but the carrier of God’s message to the people; forget about the fact that you cast out demon, check yourself what are those dross that lay hold on you easily, which reduces the level of your intimacy with God and your burning for him. It is time to take them away or else we end up being ‘WORKERS OF INIQUITY’ “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom  of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt. 7:21-23).

I will like to make this book practical by sharing my own personal experience to you in order for you to know how deadly this DROSS can be. I gave my life to Christ in the year 2013 and ever since then lots of great things had been happening since then, lot of places have being called to minister which God move greatly, lot of souls won, healings happening BUT YET THERE ARE DROSS IN MY LIFE which people could not see but only I, God and Devil knows. The Dross that battled with my life were (lust, pride, stubbornness, gossiping, jesting, food, sleep and anger). It may sound small in compare to what we terms big and great sin like Killing, fornication or smoking etc. The significant truth is that those dross that look small have been eating up my life so deep and drained up my life off from the presence of God; they were things that weigh me down. It got to a stage that in year 2016, I was called for a programme at a Church to to deliver a seminar but prior to the programme I fell flat to LUST. The programme unavoidable I went to the programme and ministered; Oh! how I wish you were there to see how people were really blessed and touched but I was dieing inside gradually. These dross are making me loose God, yet I was like a SIGNBOARD showing them the way to God but not going.

My brethren, it took me time before freedom could finally come, it wasn’t easy. People call me “Man of God”, “Apostle of Fire” and sorts of but yet Heaven looked at me and said “I can’t recognize you”. But a day came that an encounter came like Isaiah’s own in the Bible, on the 13th of August 2016 when the encounter came I looked at myself and all I could see are filthy garments like Joshua the High Priests wore in “and he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord and satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the Lord said unto satan, the Lord rebuke thee, o satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him. And unto him he said, behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment” (Zech. 3:1-4).  

Even during this period I was holding a vital post (been an executive) about three at my fellowship, the truth is it goes beyond posts or anointing issue. After seeing myself in the filthy garments, the Lord opened my eyes to see those dross, like a stain on my garment, I then went ahead to a solitary place and started praying, I lied down on the floor and faced the sun (around 1:15pm) holding the list in my hand, before I knew it have started shedding serious tears (which had never happened to me) that God am tired of  being managed take these dross out of my life (it wasn’t a gentle prayer brethren, it was Jacob’s prayer).

Then suddenly God spoke like a thunder saying “ for the past 3years have just being using your life as a source of blessing to others whereas your own life makes Heaven cry and wail, if Rapture had sounded you won’t have made Heaven. But today have set you free and have taken away your dross and your sins purged”. My leg immediately kept vibrating for couple of minutes and afterwards I felt peace and renewal. An experience and encounter I can never forget, a heavy burden was lifted and to the will of the father now becomes so easy, Brethren its better you also sit, refrain yourself from some activity, multitudes and check yourself to see what the dross of your life are and pray unto God to take them away now. It’s better they mock you on earth because you want to get it right with God, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you;  but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20).

Finally, it’s my advice to you to sit, think and pray about the dross of your life, and renew your ways with God or else it will end up destroying you and making you loose Heaven.

What are the likely ways in order to be free totally delivered from those DROSS?

1.         Admit it’s a sin and Confess it (Prov 28: 13, 1Jhn 1:9).

2.         Cry to God for help and rely on Him for Strength, to be free is not by Will power but by               His Strength. (Rom 7: 17-25, 1Cor 12: 9).

3.         Do away with anything that enchances those drosses and FLEE (1Thess 5:22).

4.         Guard your heart with all diligence i.e watch what you see and ear. (Matt 15:18-20, Prov  4: 23-25).

5.         Lastly renew your mind daily by having a personal altar where you commune with God    (Rom 13: 14, Prov. 6: 22, 2Tim 3:16, Rom 12:1-2).

NOTE: Man cannot be empty its either God is there or the devil, no vacant place. The fact that you are doing the wrong thing or into Sin and you are still prosperous or nothing bad had happen does not mean God is happy with it or wants it to continue, he is only waiting for you to change and turn back before the judgment comes which brings punishment. Now if you are there reading this and you are yet to give your life to Christ, this is the best time for you to do so, tomorrow might be very late, there is no amount of pleasure the world can give unto you, the end of it is Destruction but Jesus loves you and wants you (John 10:10), all He wants is just that you turn back unto Him  “therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed, and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Isreal? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth (sinner), saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye” (Ezekiel 18: 30-32).

If you are ready to give your life to Christ, say this after me with a determined heart

“Lord Jesus here I am, I am a sinner and I have cut short your glory, Lord am sorry for my sins and I will never return back to them, I accept you today into my life as my Lord and Saviour, use your blood to wash away my sins and write my name in the book of life”. I welcome you into the Kingdom, just make sure you join a believing Church where the Word of God is being taught and make your Bible your friend not forgetting to be having your quiet time every morning.
